I stumbled upon this chef’s restaurant blog the other day. It appears to be some sort of upscale restaurant with tiny portions. Fish is love :)

Today I had to go to the bank and took the opportunity to slightly dress for the occasion, except I didn’t have shoes to go with white pants.. so I felt a little dorky with a tucked in shirt and belt and white sneakers :D But I guess the classy restauranteurs say “the sneaker-suit combination is a very contemporary version of relaxed luxury.

I’m not convinced though.

so i came across Vlog: 50 Years of LEGO — Ultimate Collector’s Millennium Falcon Time-Lapse Video, which wasn’t that interesting actually especially because the video died about 2/3 through and i couldn’t finish it.

what was interesting was the song used. it’s called “earth’s assault on the central ai” by some ‘cicada’ guy and you can get it at his website. it’s a weird electro-video-game-ish song with a main melody over a percussive arpeggiating distorted sound mostly. pretty cool

also, i’m really falling in love with latin music. it’s too bad i can’t understand what they’re saying to look up the songs =( the ballads are killer and the different rhythmic styles are nice too

New Zealand Builds a Nest Big Enough to Save Kiwis

I thought this was interesting:

The remaining kiwis tend to live in remote corners of New Zealand, and each pair of birds — they remain monogamous for life — controls a territory ranging from 12 to 100 acres, making it extremely difficult to find the nests.

monogamous and they control territories :O

tv shows costs

December 9th, 2007

“Reality shows, which generally cost $1 million per hour to produce, are far less expensive than most prime-time dramas, which can cost $2 million to $3 million per episode.”

WOW if that’s how much it costs to make the show how much must advertisers be paying!!??!!

trains
somewhere in stockholm

before the internet, or maybe before photography and stuff, i wonder how it must have felt to read or hear about distant lands. in the future, i wonder what they will think of how it feels to us now.

it would be such a shame to die without having seen all that there is to see! (a modest goal, for it’s not possible to live all that can be lived)

it really is too bad i’m so terrible at learning languages

interesting occupation :O

“It’s ridiculous that I feel the way I do,” he said at the end of his drive in Monsey. “That I have this cartoonish view of God as someone who rewards and punishes. I feel like a fool when I read someone like Richard Dawkins,” he said, referring to the British atheist and evolutionary biologist. “But let’s trade childhoods.” Intellectually, he said, he understood Mr. Dawkins, but “emotionally I’m not there at all.”
